Scientific research is performed within the context of an institution, and thus the recognition afforded the individual researchers affiliated with that institution is reflected in the prestige and reputation of the institution as a whole. By aggregating publications and citations at the institutional level we can measure the institutional output and prestige attributable to the affiliated researchers.

Institution Rankings lists either:

• the ranked institution in an individual field (or all fields)
  or
• the ranked fields for an individual institution

Use a drop-down list to open a list of sort options (Citations, Papers, Citations per Paper, Institution or Field). The default sort is by Citations. Click the Papers or Graphs Icons to access pages for the selected institution or field.

List of Fields ISI Essential Science Indicators  categorizes papers into fields of research.
